As part of the Veteran Outreach Team for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, I would like to share updated information on the benefits your VFW Post 3150 have earned through their honorable service to our great Nation.  

 

The Department of Defense is proud to expand on-installation Exchange, commissary and morale, welfare, and recreation program retail eligibility to: 

 

  • All Veterans with service-connected disabilities

 

  • Purple Heart recipients

 

  • Former prisoners of war

 

  • Individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible veterans enrolled under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers. 

 

Additionally, the Exchange’s Veterans Online Shopping Benefit allows all honorably discharged Veterans to shop tax-free for life.

The members of VFW Post 7916 in Occoquan, Virginia, have demonstrated a commitment to their mission of “Honoring the Dead by Helping the Living” throughout the pandemic. The Post made sure members received health and welfare checks so that those most at-risk, or in need, received essentials. They also delivered food to residents of the town and donated to a local food bank.
