Age 89, died on 7 February 2020 in Boyce, VA. An Army veteran, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War, and he served in the "Old Guard" at Fort Myer, Virginia. He was active in the American Legion for several years as well as a member of Post 3150. After moving to Boyce, he became active in Post 9760, Berryville, VA. He is buried at Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, VA. His wife of 20 years, Dolly, has been a member of the VFW Auxiliary for several years.
