National Vietnam War Veterans Day Community Event

All are welcome and invited to participate in this public commemoration event in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. To commemorate the event, the Fairfax County Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Fairfax Resolves Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), along with VFW Post #8469 and American Legion Post #177, are sponsoring a community program to honor all Vietnam veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, and individually remember the Fairfax County residents who fell in Vietnam by reading their names. 

The event will be held at 11 a.m. at Fairfax Veterans Amphitheater, 10485-10489 Armstrong St. All are welcome and invited to participate in this public commemoration event.

The Fairfax County Chapter is a Commemorative Partner with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.

The members of VFW Post 7916 in Occoquan, Virginia, have demonstrated a commitment to their mission of “Honoring the Dead by Helping the Living” throughout the pandemic. The Post made sure members received health and welfare checks so that those most at-risk, or in need, received essentials. They also delivered food to residents of the town and donated to a local food bank.
